Hey lovely #vegansky! If you haven't already...please consider subscribing to our YouTube and Instagram whilst we grow into a wave of influence to help you go and stay #vegan!
Veganism is a rights movement. Environmental benefits and health benefits of veganism come second to this. Lead with your morals. Follow with the facts and figures.
How society treats animals is riddled with moral hypocrisy, logical fallacies and irrational behaviour. All of this is ripe for exploitation to our advantage. This should give us hope.
If you were raised non vegan, think about how your parents responded when you first made the connection between meat and animals as a child. Fear and confusion begets fear and confusion. It takes courage to buck the trend. Think of what we're asking people to change.
Absolutely. We have an unsubstantiated theory that shame and the tension between the idealised self and the confusion of not aligning with your own values brings up anger, defensiveness and fear. Hence many meat eaters behaviours 😉
Speciesism and carnism makes people defensive, irrational and unpredictable. Come at non vegans with a sense of assertive compassion. Most of us were there once too. Few of us choose to uphold delusions without first being manipulated.
Free range, red tractor assured, RSPCA assured, organic or cage free are all marketing buzz words. The imaginary happy, healthy animals used to produce the products with these labels do not exist. Don't fall for marketing. There is no ethical way to kill or exploit an animal. #GoVegan #Farming
The way the world tortures and kills fishes, chickens, ducks, mice, rats, geese, pigs, cows and sheep yet dotes on cats and dogs is completely delusional and irrational. This gives us the high ground in morality and logic. You've already got a head start. Use this to your advantage.

We tried some reverse psychology with this activist from Uganda. He actually holds Africans to account for their harm to animals like Westerners do!! 😡
How sick is that?! All these pro-Indigenous accounts have been telling us for weeks they can't give animals respect. Who to believe...? 🤔

🌿 Breathe in. Hold. Breathe out.

You don’t have to fix everything today. You don’t have to rush.
Right now, you just have to be here. That’s enough.

Next time a non vegan tries to say that animal farming is sustainable, point to the following:
1) Land use 🗺️
2) Animal feed (palm oil, air miles) 🌽
3) Desertification 🌵
4) Methane emmisions 💨
5) Monoculture 🌾

By virtue of animals being "sentient" (feeling & conscious) - they have the right not to be violently assaulted by those who CAN be #vegan. It's not a necessity for humans to enslave, harm, and kill #animals.

...given us, such as solving how to create infrastructure to feed millions, and co-opt that to create a vegan world. For now, though, we need to start with basic steps such as going to a different aisle in the supermarket!
In my view, factory farming (or any form of animal farming) is, usually the most clear manifestation of late stage capitalism. Western dietary choices are inherently colonial and imperialist. So...let's use the few benefits that capitalism has....
I couldn't agree more. But we're a long way away from that when society is in its current form 😊
We're looking to turn people vegan right here, right now. Under late stage capitalism. It's not perfect, but in our opinion is the bare minimum we can do in terms of ethics.
Unfortunately, due to many forces at play (colonialism and capitalism to name the big ones), respectful, reciprocal farming will never become a mainstay again. Also, no matter how reciprocally farmed, it is unethical to kill and animal who doesn't want to die. Hope that makes sense!
Oh yes absolutely. Most vegans would agree that without us eating meat and fat during important periods such as the ice age kept us around! Rather, this post is intended to counter unscientific claims made by meat eaters that we are: 'built to just consume animal products' 😉
Veganism crosses culture. Meat eating is actually a colonial issue. Can feel weird people worrying about animals when there is so much human suffering, though, right? However, veganism extends to humans too! Also, when we look at the numbers - there are billions more suffering animals 😉
When you go vegan, throw out or donate all animals products from your life, incrementally if you can't afford to replace right away. Every time you use animal products in any form, you condition yourself and others that it is socially acceptable to do so.
...for us vegans, taking some time out to regroup amongst the noise of society can do us the world of good. Next Sunday, take a moment outside, no matter the weather, and just be with the elements. Recharge. Regroup. Be the best vegan during the week you can be. You got this 💪
For this #SelfCareSunday we're focusing on the benefits of hiking. We went on a beautiful walk at a nearby nature reserve yesterday as our first hike of the year. The psychological and physical benefits of walking out in nature are well documented 🥾🌿
We're trying to grow to be a force for the animals and all those new vegans out there over on Facebook. If you're still hanging out over there and Zuckerberg hasn't scared you off, please do give us a follow and a like 🤗💚
