this article helped me articulate a lot of my issues. on top of that i just liked the characters and story in hades 1 better on a conceptual level, i enjoyed that the whole thing was about petty family drama since that fit the theme much better than epic battle for the fate of the world

hades 2 and silksong are so frustrating they're huge releases that i love many parts of and really want to like as much as everyone else does but they each have so many annoying horrible problems that just drain my energy and enthusiasm for them

lone wolf and cub white heaven in hell lives rent free in my head because they finally gave up and just put zombie mole people and massive ski battles in that one and i can't stop thinking about how much more insane things would've gotten if they hadn't stopped making the movies after that
