I feel the same way.

And it's frustrating/disappointing because there were people who were influences on me growing up who told me I should be a certain type of person or live my life a certain way. And they like him, who is the complete opposite of all of that.

The Cobra/Cobra Commander origin story is much better in the comics than the cartoon.

Failed businessman who's got some charisma is able to stir people into a frenzy and inspire cult-like devotion based on distrust in the government and people who are different.

Could never happen in real life.

Just always preferred Cobra to be human evil. Revealing them to be a secret snake people plot from an underground kingdom makes it less imo.

Larry Hama was one of the first comic book writers whose name stood out to me. He wrote incredible stories, not just for GI Joe but also for Star Wars and the X-Men.

And he laughed when I told him I bragged to kids in elementary school that I lived near Fort Wadsworth and they didn't.

Rivers wrote songs from years before this.

Take 13 is vocals over full instrumentation. The vibe is more laid back. It's an alright version, but there are better.

Rivers played around with Why Won't You Love Me? a lot before eventually giving it to 5 Seconds of Summer.

It's an alright tune, but the whole vibe of the song feels like a regression to the insecure point of view...

A) Rian is humble and constantly deflects praise to himself to praise for the franchise

B) He super loves SW and tried always to make something true to what he loved as a kid

C) He’s very much focused on the positive reception of fans

my favorite aspect of andor was how the imperials were felled not by the rebels, but their faith that their innate value to the empire would keep them safe. the rebels didn’t put a gun to lio partagaz’s head, or deedra mero in prison, but rather their belief in palpatine’s patronage. sound familiar?
