Rivers wrote songs from years before this.

Take 13 is vocals over full instrumentation. The vibe is more laid back. It's an alright version, but there are better.

#RiversDemoFlood 1690: Why Won't You Love Me 13

2015

From the White Year

Rivers played around with Why Won't You Love Me? a lot before eventually giving it to 5 Seconds of Summer.

It's an alright tune, but the whole vibe of the song feels like a regression to the insecure point of view...

For me it was always until after the results. The worst part was between the scans and reading what the docs said about them.

While I figure this out, my initial thoughts are that:
A) Rian is humble and constantly deflects praise to himself to praise for the franchise

B) He super loves SW and tried always to make something true to what he loved as a kid

C) He’s very much focused on the positive reception of fans

I sit and keep my hat on for this shit, too.

It ain't the Anthem.

Now the "Cotton-eyed Joe"? Oh, I'm up and waving my hat like a crazy gold prospector.

my favorite aspect of andor was how the imperials were felled not by the rebels, but their faith that their innate value to the empire would keep them safe. the rebels didn’t put a gun to lio partagaz’s head, or deedra mero in prison, but rather their belief in palpatine’s patronage. sound familiar?

#RiversDemoFlood 1689: Her Name is Kaylee 6

2016-2017

From the Pacific Daydream Years

This is a nice piano-based partial song. It's got a sweet melody, but Rivers would repurpose it into The Space Between's J is for Joy. Part of me would rather have more of this.

My takeaway is that social ostracism is a powerful weapon, and we should use it on Nazis instead of trans people.

1. In a devastating new Pew Research Survey, only 3 in 10 transgender adults report being accepted by their parents.

And only 1 in 10 say they are accepted by their extended family.

This is the lowest number ever found in surveys asking similar questions.

The survey comes as transgender people experience a legal assault from the far-right in the United States.

“There are just a lot of rumors flying around. But I figured if you heard it from me, you’d know that I was okay,” Dolly Parton said in a new two-minute video posted on Instagram. “I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think God is through with me. And I ain’t done working.” https://to.pbs.org/4hc1DXB

simple and not as fun. It's an alright listen and a nod to what the song used to be.

We don't have any information on whether Weezer ever attempted Trippin'. And as far as we know, Rivers hasn't tried to rework the song again. Yet.

Obviously (and thankfully), Losing My Mind didn't make Make Believe.

But a few years later, Rivers went back again and worked the song into Trippin'.

It's not quite My Brain quality, but it's better than Losing My Mind.

It's closer to My Brain, but he swaps out the chorus for something more...

But when Rivers was (again) struggling before Weezer's fifth album, he went back to My Brain, reworked it and turned it into the superior My Brain is Working Overtime.

Weezer tried during the Make Believe sessions, but someone took a wrong turn and the song ended up as Losing My Mind...
