Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

You know, I thought I found the general execution of this game a little bland and boring, guess now I know why...

If studios use AI it means that they don't value creativity (at least management certainly doesn't) and that'll start eating into other aspects of design and development. A shame really

Beyond disappointed to learn that Arc Raiders, like The Finals before it, uses AI voice acting.

So many iconic game voice work is little vendor greetings, and to farm that out to a machine is a hollow admission of a lack of care.

I know a thousand actors who would have done better for buttons.

In fact, so much of western knowledge is so beholden to eugenics, it's insane. We as white people do not seem to want to shake it, because it would threaten to expose just how cruel and vile we have been to the world. So we retain it in our scientific biases, our politics, our 'common sense'.

It's a bias and a retreat they just can't seem to escape from, doubly so for the media outlets that report on them.

Reacting with misinformation suggests that 'if only they got the right guy this wouldn't be a problem', but it absolutely would be. Combat everything they do directly, protest the unfair and tiered systems treatment the minorities are subject to, rebuke everything they stand for. Don't just deflect.

Ice are most certainly unfairly targeting him but to look at two pictures and say they got the wrong guy because you don't understand how cameras work really doesn't help the poor man's case.

No one deserves to be treated this way, and certainly not even over a firearm posession charge in the USA..

And people online 'flippantly' describing Tylenol as perfectly safe unless laced with cyanide, just to rebuke the idea that it doesn't cause autism and isn't relatively (and only) safe pain management option for pregnant people does not actually help prevent misuse...

Still no more helpful than calling me a pedant for not trying to downplay the risks actually associated with Tylenol use. Are all the people who die each year from overuse just stupid then, unlike you? There's a big difference between corporate liability text and implied messaging in marketing.

Tylenol kills hundreds of people a year from liver failure and overdose, it's actually quite harmful when under the assumption that it's safe for daily use, which the companies that sell it have been quite successful at promoting.
It is still the only pain medication safe for pregnant people to use.
