Here is a macro photo I took of our last bi-color snapdragon in the front garden. The day was beautifully grey and rainy. Though there was no chance of seeing a tropical sunset, this flower held the might of dusk's glory in its misty face. This scoop of autumn sherbert glows against green peeps of background bokeh. Bending in for a closer look with my camera, I became enchanted by the perfect spheres scattered across its pink-red-orange-yellow petals. Within each crystal ball raindrop, a small universe of color and light. Their augury? My new 3-5-3 haiku:

I'm sure the city, like any, is bustling with noise and activity. But out here on the bay it's quiet as we glide by, soft lights glowing on the skyline.
