It's #portfolioday! Here's a smattering of my artwork.

I draw, paint & take photos. My paintings & drawings are abstract to illustrative to comic.

My photos are mostly flowers, architecture, graffiti, the sky, as well as abstract minimalism of what I find around me in my urban or rural setting.

An old dilapidated blue painted window on an old farm building in Conksbury, near (Bakewell), Peak District. Several window panes are broken, some of the grilles are missing and those that remain have some of the blue paint peeled off. Some rough bits of wood behind the window somewhat cover the opening, but several gaps remain.

There is a floor and a shop leading to the ticket gate on the top 1/4. The long stairs and escalator leading from the floor to the platform are shown on the right. On the left side, you can't see well because the glass window covers the front. This afternoon
Looking directly at an old run down shop today. It has black faded paint covered in graffiti. Upstairs the windows are neglected with one boarded up. A black shutter covers the doorway. Multiple old magazines are on the shelves in the main window along with a Neon open sign. A yellow sign on the right says 'Books And Magazines' above a Neon sign saying video. A tight little flock of mottled brown ducks is curled up together on the wooden boat landing, each bird tucked into the soft feathers of the next so closely that they almost merge into a single, rounded cushion of plumage, eyes half‑closed in calm rest as if wrapped in a shared blanket of warmth and safety. Pressed shoulder to shoulder, with wings and backs overlapping until no space is left between them, they conserve body heat against the cool air drifting over the water while their heads turn and disappear into their own or a neighbour’s feathers, creating an atmosphere of mutual trust and gentle comfort rather than alertness or flight. Resting on the weathered planks of the dock lifts them just above the waterline and gives them a quiet refuge where they can relax without swimming or foraging, and their tight circular cluster means each duck is partly shielded by the others, forming a small, protective community in which warmth and safety arise from staying close together.

Her shoes. Inspired by a social media post that seemed like an innocuous fit check but the light under the doorway in her photo creeped me out. When I painted it, I wanted it to seem ambiguous, odd, and surreal like a half-remembered dream.
