I don’t want to generalize my experience into everyone else’s. My friends have had great processes. And every who I’ve told my specific story to had recoiled at how bad it was. I think mine was uniquely problematic to be honest. But apparently it is common enough for others to see the similarities.

Almost all of the problems have been specific to my discernment committee. I don’t know if other denominations have a similar process for that

People warned me years ago that the process to become a candidate for ordination was dysfunctional. That it was like a hazing ritual. Still, I don’t think that was enough warning. I’ve been repeatedly surprised by just how bad it has been, how awful useless and pathetic it has made me feel

Okay that was awesome, it was a Fuera ICE protest and march, I stayed for like an hour, there were signs, chants, later a pop-mariachi band played, kids doing bike wheelies in the street wearing the Mexican flag like a cape, etc

You must defer to the president’s determination that there is an armed rebellion in Chicago, argues the govt’s lawyer.

That’s the Trump admin’s stance on everything. When the law doesn’t allow it, lie about the facts until it’s something that would be legal, then insist others live inside the lie.

Here's another section that was quite bad. We did not need that highlight 4x, or another header to distinguish the spoken vs sung elements for the two services. Also fits in half a page less. I would change more but this is just a test copy to show the committee so the substance is the same.
