Politicians won't convince me my problems are from people coming to where I live to ask for help. Problems come from being people who think its okay to turn people away who are just seeking a safe home, to hurl abuse at them, to wish them gone.

And then I read the full piece that Gail Simone wrote. It's a silly way to find a way to articulate how upset and angry I am about the state of the UK, but there we go. It's that simple. I care about people, and there's no type of malaise of having the blues that will stop me.

In London there was a massive racist rally today and I am disgusted by it all. Every single person who joined that is awful (o7 for the people at the counter protest though).
I was feeling at a loss for how to express anything close to how I was feeling about it all.
