best way is to post to as many sites as possible, especially art-focused ones like newgrounds
tvattrcerebr.bsky.social
you should be posting everything public to furaffinity anyway

it really upsets me to see artists casually going back to a site that's explicitly used by its owner to spread far-right propaganda
tvattrcerebr.bsky.social
Please don't go back to Twitter, if you get TOS'd go to a different site instead, preferably one designed for artists like Newgrounds.

You might see several artists mad about the bluesky policy update banning non-con, even artists who do not make that kind of material, and wonder why it's such a problem. If that's you, here is a quick breakdown:

I don't believe people have had these issues with Newgrounds, at least not yet, and it's far better than Bluesky as an art site.

Instead of removing them, make the results say that payment processors threatened to remove your ability to get money if you don't remove it.
Cite the exact companies and include their complaint numbers/emails.
Put an info banner on the site linking to it too. Use your reach.

itch.io/docs/general...

It’s a platform that enables anyone to sell the content they've created, *as long as our payment processors don't have ideological reasons against it.*

Doesn't have the same ring to it now, does it?

@itch.io isn’t driving this, send letters to mastercard and visa

sent an email to [email protected], strongly suggest other writers, artists, game devs, etc. who give a shit do similarly
Email to support@itch.io, subject line "De-indexing of NSFW and adult work." Email content is too long for alt text, so slightly edited for character limit:

Given recent rumours of the delisting and deindexing of adult work across all of itch.io, I wish to ask if these rumours are true (and a binary yes/no answer would be preferred to the question 'Is concealing NSFW and adult work from search and indexes now a policy of itch.io?') and voice my strong opposition to this for a multitude of reasons if it is.

1) "Adult" and "NSFW" are often used to discuss queerness, as queerness almost inherently brushes against topics of sexuality, bodies, and human desire. There are ways to create content about queerness which ARE 'safe for work,' however--

2) There are ongoing campaigns to cast all forms of queer life as sexualized and perverse, not fit for consumption by decent people, and so on. Itch.io risks legitimizing these attitudes by suddenly deplatforming immense amounts of queer art, and thus

3) the de-indexing of adult work will inevitably disproportionately impact already precarious queer artists and writers and game-developers who have trusted itch.io and promoted it as a safe, accepting, place for art that the mainstream may reject. This is a betrayal of thousands of members of your artistic community who have put faith in your website and organization that will inevitably crater the reputation and user base of itch.io.

If this is not the new policy, then I hope whatever technical error occured is resolved. If this is the new policy, I hope you will backtrack. If you will not backtrack, then I will be joining the exodus of writers, artists, game devs, and other creatives who once trusted you as we search for a place where queer art may be, for a time, safe.
