The art org I work with also does a 6x6, though we do it as a raffle where you buy tickets and use them to "bid" on the pieces you like. At the end of the evening the winners are drawn for each piece.

I work with a visual arts organization and I think this would definitely make it past the initial pitch phase.

It could be a theme for a Canvas and Cocktails night or a workshop for teens and young adults. Lots of opportunity to explore with the idea.

I have officially begun exercising again, and resuming it confirms what I already knew about myself: I fucking hate it, never get the benefit of "endorphin rush" and therefore participate in it only under duress, ie, the knowledge that as a 56-year-old person, if I don't, later life will suck more.

Some ebooks are cued to start at the prologue or chapter 1, skipping the front matter. So they count the front matter as read.

It might be publisher dependent, but I've never discovered a pattern to which books will do that.
