A bus of Bronx middle schoolers pulled up to the Capitol this morning for a long-planned field trip just a few hours after the government shut down.

All Capitol tours were cancelled as the guides can’t work in shutdown.

So I escorted them in myself and gave them a personal tour. They were great!

Good to see so many AWBW books on display including both Young Men in Love ❤️anthologies with The Color of Always 🌈, as well as the Broken Frontier anthology face out on a shelf.

Rescued this old marker display rack. Spent a few hours cleaning off the dust, but now it’s looking pretty good! Don’t know if I’ve got enough markers to fill it all, but I can get a good variety in there & room for box sets at the bottom.
