Resharing a one-page jam adaptation of a poem from my collected works: a whimsical origin reinterpretation of the elder survivor of the House of El.

Kryptonian adults - Jor-El and Alura In-Ze -stand solemnly as the launch is initiated, their faces illuminated by the pod’s light. A rocket carrying the child blasts through the sky, streaking across the stars toward its distant destination. In one panel, Alura rests her head against Jor-El’s shoulder as they whisper a farewell.
