By merit of just not being well executed: Blood Knights. Oh my word, that was such a silly game.

By merit of I just have far too many issues with despite the experience technically being a functional product: Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea Parts 1 & 2. Ugh.

I'm Sebastián, I like to draw comics and covers, but I really suck at writing about me.

I’m hoping to reach the goal on Ko-fi as I’m still on the job hunt (crossing my fingers it’ll be over soon) and have no other means of earning funds. :’3

If I get the job, I might not have time for a long while to do commissions so last chance I guess. 🥹

I’ve set up a goal on Ko-fi for food and necessities while I’m job hunting. My disability case in in the appeals process so I won’t hear back from that for months. Comms and donations are what I rely on atm. Anything is appreciated! Thank you! 💖

Hey, it’s back! A formative stealth game, missing from storefronts for too long. And a great Steam Deck game. I’ve made a custom controller configuration for it since it has no controller support out of the box, can be found under community layouts.

Drew's work, even on the silliest of the EU novels, lives rent-free in my mind.

I loved this one when I reviewed it on Quest 3!

Yeah, wasn't the script outline leak that supposedly what led to Mass Effect 3's ending dropping the whole dark matter/biotics explanation.

Congrats! If I could feasibly some day have the Star Wars Trilogy arcade cabinet at home, I would totally want it too.

Somehow, Pandora Tomorrow returned

The best alternative medium to adapt books into is videogames.

Why do we keep trying to compress them into 90 minute movies? A 10-12 hour book can easily make a 6-10 hour game in the right hands.

Yeah, reading/listening to a lot of classics really makes you realize what "timeless" actually means, because it's not simply "Well I liked it a lot." It's a special blend you can almost never predict. Lightning in a bottle. Tangible magic.

It's never been a better time to look into older/used games/consoles and lower-spec PCs. There's a goldmine of worthwhile titles worth your time from yesteryear.

The PS3 alone has more unique exclusives than the PS4 or PS5.

Yeah, that's when you can feel human element underneath.

Like, the aiming in Wolfenstein: TNO. It's basically the same aiming as in Bodycount, which was quite divisive, but it works in Wolfenstein. The level design especially leans (pun intended) into the player being able to lean around.

That said, I do agree that with 6, it's a much harder prospect. Dead Space 3 was more "we need this to sell well" ironing down much of what gave the first two their grit. It's a mere subtraction. Add those back in, it works!

By contrast, 6... there's a whole lot more going on.

Oh with DS3, it's more feasible than you'd think. There were several cut ideas that would improve the balancing and atmosphere substantially. And a cut story beat that would've made Norton's heel turn much more natural.

And I say that as someone who enjoys 3, even if it does leave one wanting.

That would be sensible, but Capcom's still got some reckless energy up their sleeve. Making 9 hinge around the daughter of a side-character of a spin-off game kind of has me bracing for them to do anything, at this point.

It's very weird to consider that we likely will see 5 and even 6 remade. At a certain point though, they're gonna run out of mainline games to remake.

And yet, they'll still not remake Code Veronica.
