If we can get Blanc in the Muppets, we can have this too!

Someone get Morgan and Johnson talking! ASAP!
Benoit Blanc and Philomena Cunk independently investigate the same murder and come to the same correct conclusion for vastly different reasons

This month's column is in fact NOT a column. What could it possibly be?!

What madness has @unwinnabledavid.bsky.social let me unleash?!?

How much of it involves genres other than games?!?!

Well...

If you see this post a comics cover you love

It is no exaggeration to say that this cover is what first got me to read a Transformers comic.

Specifically, the dog wash episode. It would play at the same time, almost always whenever I had insomnia, in the AM.

Why? I haven't the faintest idea.

It was Vampyr fro singleplayer, and Battlefield V for multiplayer.

Still is. Shame about how BFV got tossed aside by its fanbase despite doing so many things right.
Quote this with what you would have said your game of the year was at the end of 2018, and what you would say your favourite game of 2018 is now, if it differs

I’ll be starting a fresh KotOR II playthrough on Twitch tonight around 9 p.m. Central, and I thought this might be fun: anyone who donates $10+ to my St. Jude fundraiser gets to either:

- Name our player character
- Choose their face
- Design their lightsaber(s)
- Pick their personality type, etc.
Tiltify - Made for Fundraisers
We give you the tools to engage with your donors and raise more for your charity

There is something a bit surreal about how both new Tomb Raider games are technically going to be set in two continuities simultaneously. I can think of very few game projects that have tried to tackle anything resembling that level of retcon surgery.

Great thread.

Also, SHORT! THAT! BABY!
The trailers in The Game Awards show that especially AAA, it's super critical to look at your voiceover, dialogue, and title cards and ask:

Does this sound like my game and only my game?

I saw a decent number of very pretty games with well cut trailers and very forgettable messaging.

ICYMI: "Rogue Incursion is still a fine game when played flat, but 'fine' is not the word I’d use to describe the VR version."

Alien: Rogue Incursion’s non-VR release has @unabridgedgamer.bsky.social wondering what design philosophies we take for granted in traditional gaming:
Alien: Rogue Incursion's Evolved Edition Feels Like It Skipped A Few Evolutionary Steps - Unwinnable
You literally interact with the world less than in VR, and that’s a shame.
