For what it’s worth, the power/strength of the United States came from its position as a large stable market where rights and contracts were generally respected, enforced and also predictable.
Laws were also respected in no small part because of the threat of #accountability.

Trump broke all that.

Until there is a break with more Repubs actively voting against trumps agenda, they will be able to use the power and mechanics of the state of target their opponents with differing degrees of success.
