Not just ICE…anyone who works for DHS HQ, or HSI, any admin support/finance/tertiary services…they are all complicit.

Good people need to start outing their ICE family members, neighbors, and community members.

They need to be made into pariahs in the places decent Americans gather.

Susan Collins is the chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, which means she has considerable power to influence the administration but she prefers to mumble weak protestations to the media

Despite all of Susan Collins’s **concerns**, Russ Vought, who she voted to confirm, still went ahead and fired a boatload of hard-working Americans.

Saw that column headline, knew that reading Douthat would just raise my blood pressure.

Do people honestly believe this stuff or are they all in on the joke, “wink and a nod” as they chum the water?

On NYT Home Page there's a Douthat column w/the headline "Trump's Foreign Policy is Succeeding. He Should Apply It's Lessons at Home." On what planet? Betraying our allies. Blowing up the global trading system. Embracing autocrats. Pulling back support for Ukraine. Helping to support Gaza slaughter.

Non-violence is the process of admission to the future that we want…

But that doesn’t preclude being snarky and making fun of the paramilitary cosplaying goons trying to intimidate our fellow citizens and community members.

One can be both non-violent and intolerant of assholes simultaneously…

CNN searched for ANTIFA in Portland, here's what they found: Bananas, Frogs, a Unicorn, dance parties, and a guy who doesn't know what any of this is and just wants ICE to leave. (Also look how they treated reporter Shimon Prokupecz.)

I keep seeing this get posted. The AZ electors were charged a year and a half ago. The AZ Superior Court ENDED the case five months ago. The AZ AG will have to appeal to the AZ Supreme Court or go back and start again with a grand jury. Please stop sharing this.

A Nobel story just popped up on one of my memories feed things. Still makes me laugh.
"They're like, 'Sir, there's something in your bag.'
I said, 'Yes, I think it's this box.' They said, 'What's in the box?' I said, 'a large gold medal, as one does.
So they opened it up and they said, 'What's it made out of?' I said, 'gold.'
And they're like, 'Uhhhh. Who gave this to you?'
"The King of Sweden.'
"Why did he give this to you?'
Because I helped discover the expansion rate of the universe was accelerating.'

I would expand that to all of DHS HQ, ICE, HSI, and any other federal agency that is contributing to these horrors.

And it hurts to say that because I spent my career working with great folks in FBI, HSI, DEA (not ICE, wasn’t part of the CT mission)

If James visits the home regularly then it is available to her for personal use, which means it is not a “rental investment property” as defined by the mortgage rider…and therefore negates the central claim of the indictment

NYT reports that Letitia James’s great niece lives in the home that is the subject of the indictment.

The niece reportedly testified before a *different* grand jury, telling them that she had lived there for many years without paying rent. James visits regularly.

But in June, IMs. Thompson testified to a grand
jury in Norfolk that she had lived in the house for years and that she did not pay rent, a person familiar with her testimony said. She was not asked to testify again, and the grand jury that voted to indict Ms. James was not seated in Norfolk, but in Alexandria.
The specter of Mr. Trump's revenge campaign has so far overshadowed the facts of the case, given how he has pushed for Ms. James's punishment. For years, he has railed against her on social media, calling her a "crook" and
"corrunt" Last month. he also appointed Ms. for a peaceful life after years of turbulence in several cities.
The family, Nakia Thompson and her children, have lived at the address ever since, according to two people familiar with the home, and until this week, the plan for a more lacid existence had largely gone as expected. Several times a year, the people said, a great-aunt who had purchased the house in 2020 with Ms.
Thompson in mind would come for an extended stay.
This week, with the filing of court papers some 200 miles north, the plan came to an abrupt end.
The great-aunt - Letitia James, the New York attorney general - was indicted by President Trump's Justice Department. The yellow house,
