I know I've said this before, but I remain utterly shocked and very disappointed that we are in an "AI Renaissance" that has me, a full-on machine intelligence pervert, wanting to go full Sarah Connor.

I just. Every day a new low.
So the president of the United States plans to meet with Putin in Hungary, and when a reporter asked where that plan came from, this was the reply of the United States government www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-...
The downside of the new laptop is that it won't have all of my stickers on it.
Work finally got a new laptop delivered to me after 6 weeks, and I'm not allowed to do anything with it until I get instructions, which of course I don't have, so.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Zelda has been sounding the alarm on the dangers of AI for YEARS, long before the technology got to where it is now, because she's:

1) brilliant (go watch Lisa Frankenstein).
2) ridiculously smart.
3) experienced first-hand how fucking WEIRD people are about her Dad.

Unfortunately for pretty much everybody, AI seems to actually stand for "All In".
"TheΒ hundreds of billions of dollars companies are investing in AI now account for an astonishing 40 per cent share of US GDP growth this year... In a way, then, America has become one big bet on AI."
America is now one big bet on AI
It’s seen as the magic fix for every threat to the US economy

Once again: Hegseth is the exact type of guy The Art of War was written for, which means he will never read it

This whole section really.
I'm just using most of the Signalis OST and calling it good.
Finding the right music for battles is one of the most frustrating and time consuming things I do as a GM. It's such a bummer finding a song that has the right vibe but it has lyrics/vocals.
Combats are complicated enough without my brain getting distracted by singing!

Essentially everybody involved in "AI" owes everybody else involved in "AI" like a trillion dollars in investments that no one will ever collect on.
Been trying to explain why economy increasingly feels like it's running wholly on rich people passing each other same bag of money - innovation is stalled, unemployment is rising, but stock tickers are still somehow going up. This example captures the current state of our economy perfectly.
It's depressing when the best hope for what could be a seriously concerning action under "normal" circumstances is "Maybe he's just a vain fucker that thinks this meeting makes him look strong and commanding", but here we are!
The most unkindest cut of all? The meeting, once rescheduled, clearly could have been an email.
They never showed up, never emailed.
That feeling when you realize you just missed the start of a meeting, feel bad and scramble to join, only to be sitting there waiting because the other person hasn't even started the meeting yet. It's a specific kind of indignation.

I think security is important, like really really important! But also I am just one dude* and I have so many other things I am already responsible for.
