As long as those tax rises are only on the well to do and genuinely rich, then I regard it as one of her few sensible proposals. She could follow up with FAIR Council Tax, higher financial transactions taxes, removal of higher taxpayer Pension Reliefs, Inheritance tax increases, and MUCH MORE.

There is a real issue of framing in UK politics. If you accept the immigration framing then you've already lost. It is important to shift the debate towards the ultra-wealthy and the contribution they make to society. Force them to defend their position, rather than letting them set the debate.
