I try to keep an open mind to that prospect, but what impact would that have? If her intention is to expose the system for the harm it causes, what sense would it make to destroy her reputation and burn it all down only to remain closeted?

If we can understand how maddening it must be for Taylor to be perceived as nothing but a wife and mother, I can only assume that for Travis, who is a stereotypical strong, handsome athlete, the reduction to being (this is crass, I’m sorry) just a dumb d*** with a pretty face…must be just as painful

I have my criticisms of Travis, mostly related to his aggressive outbursts on the field, but I have developed a soft spot for him & the role he has played in this story.

If he, as we believe, is also queer then he has also been subject to intense misrepresentation based on his perceived sexuality.

I think reducing a person’s skill to only the very short snippets we have into their world via their performance (in Travis’ case, with football; in Taylor’s, her on stage presence) does such a disservice to our case. We don’t know Travis. And he has a public persona as much as Taylor does.
