And the both sidesing is THE WORST.

There is such a thing as fact, something that as journalists they should report.

You already lost your federal funding, so what are you scared of, MPR?
wentrogue.bsky.social
Yeah, wtf @mprnews.org?

At the end of yet another pledge drive, what you could do to persuade listeners that you bring value is to actually push back against crackpot rhetoric from Scott Jensen

Disappointing for them to be platforming his anti vax message without editorial commentary. They did a whole interview quote in the top of the hour on Tylenol but I didn't hear any following statement on how links have been discredited.

Especially sad when you think how other networks handle it

Infuriating. I just listened to the clips they ran during All Things Considered, which did include him validating RFK’s bullshit on Tylenol.

Not a great look for @mprnews.org while they’re trying to convince everyone to give them $

and today he was giving credence to RGK’s Tylenol bullshit

MPR just played a clip of Scott Jensen saying the reason Republicans keep losing in Minnesota is because the party hasn’t done a good job communicating its priorities

lol the reason y’all keep losing is because you’re doing an EXCELLENT job communicating your priorities

One of my favorite things about NYC is whenever anyone runs for office here they are required to disclose their bagel order.

Fuck. Bad news thread that I missed yesterday:
genderjustice.us
Today, a District Court in North Dakota issued a deeply disappointing ruling in our case T.D. v. Wrigley, upholding the state’s sweeping ban on gender-affirming care for transgender youth. Here’s what that means for North Dakotans:

Great thread:

I am writing this because it has swiftly become crystal clear to me that many people have no idea what is happening or how this works. Here is a thread for non-academics to put into context what just happened to Dr. Mark Bray, a fellow historian.

So interesting to hear Shonda Rhimes talk about what it took to get Olivia Pope's abortion and Cristina Yang's abortion onscreen.

When I interviewd 46 tv writers/showrunners, they echoed these experiences & frustrations (more below).

I just don't think there's any conversation you can really have about public lands, about preserving them and managing them and funding them without talking about how (much like public libraries) they become this unintentional safety net for people who are violently "swept" out of everywhere else.

YES, this!!! It’s really inadequate and has been ever since they reopened in this location last year, despite the advance planning by residents + committee members to ensure plenty of bike parking.

Market managers DGAF and have eliminated the citizen committee altogether.

There aren’t enough bike racks at the Midtown Farmers Market—even though it’s early in the season, so it’s not that crowded yet, people are locking their bikes to trees (terrible for the trees!) because the few racks filled up quickly.

For a bike-friendly town, Mpls has a ways to go.
