Gosh, if only there was a group of people out there trained in directing traffic who could help protesters cross the road. Perhaps they could even wear matching uniforms and be paid by the city to ensure public safety.

“It has been only God’s grace alone that a protester has not been struck and killed by a motorist on 25th Avenue given how frequently protesters dash onto this busy, four-lane street,” Thompson said in a statement on Monday. “This new measure will provide for both the serenity of residents and safety of protestors.”

Authorities have confirmed that no one has been found alive after a massive explosion at a military explosives plant in rural Tennessee on Friday morning, with at least 18 people feared dead. Recovery efforts are ongoing, but officials say they are no longer operating under rescue assumptions.“We’re moving to recovery,” said Humphreys county sheriff Chris Davis, speaking emotionally at a press briefing on Saturday. “At this time, we have recovered no survivors.” The site of the explosion, accurate energetic systems (AES), is located in McEwen, about 60 miles southwest of Nashville.The blast occurred around 7:45am local time during an early shift, destroying an entire building on the plant’s campus and scattering debris over at least half a square mile.
