Not giving the Nobel Prize to somebody who sucks and instead giving it to somebody else who sucks to commemorate their opposition to another person who sucks really does exemplify the 'everything and everyone sucks' era which we now collectively enjoy.

Anyway, Trump not getting the Nobel Prize but it instead being given to somebody else who sucks, who basically got it because she stands in opposition to somebody else-else who sucks is honestly peak this-time-in-history. It's honestly strange that they've shown the restraint they have. There is no functioning oversight over the police and they are unambiguously aligned with the Nazis. It's as if they themselves don't realize they're ungovernable and the ones who do know don't want to let that cat out of the bag.

Not that I particularly trust Pritzker, a billionaire, not to ultimately disappoint us but I think this is true more often than people would like to admit. Once it's formerly established that the police are ungovernable, that's pretty much ballgame for the republic.

The doomer in me won't go as far as to say this will indeed stop fascism but I strongly suspect that we would be underwhelmed to learn what Dallas Steele here is doing, instead.

But also, yes, making the Nazis sic the military on unicorns and Reptar will be a will of an optics headache for them.
