@ajmarekart.bsky.social's Awesome Mizi and Awesome Muphy!

I... Actually really like how this one came out. Like, a lot.

Oh and btw I'll go by JustAMissingNetizen from now on, as I grew to hate my current username :). At least for now

This is one of those pics I see and go "wait, I can do that?" I assume this feeling may be stronger for most of you since you haven't seen any art of my in like a year. But of course I have still drawn and progressed behind the scenes, but even for my current standards this is awesome! don't expect stuff at this level often... I'm just trying out new stuff.

For the longest time I've been trying out new ways to draw these two and a few others chars from this lil' special webshow for me, and while I wouldn't say that I "found" my way of do so with these, I'm quite satisfied with it! Of course the palette is experimental and something special for this piece specifically but it's part of that I think. I want to get more ambitious with how I color and I thought this excercise would be nice to try out, it's inspired by Pokemon's Gen 1 GB palettes if you want at least one "source" of where I got the idea. Not a fan of Pokemon though, but I like some things about it, including sprite work. It's gorgeous.

To finish off I gotta state that while this was not intended as the belated 6th anniversary piece? you may as well take it as such just in case I don't end up making one, as I think it's good enough on it's own for that, it actually includes some key elements I considered for the latter, so there's that...

My personal opinion on what shorts I think are 'canon' to @ajmarekart.bsky.social's Murphy & Mitzi (template by @kirbymaster.bsky.social)

Now personally I'd be fine believing the supernatural events actually happened if there were more cases of that stuff, but as of rn? I dunno, man, seems fake.

The M'Chla Bird of Prey Refit, which I personally call the M'Chla II, was designed by EC Henry, based on an idea from @vengeancegod.bsky.social to take the Bird of Prey from Star Trek: Discovery and modernize it to the TNG/STO era. Donny Versiga did some polish and intake work on the ship as well.

At 2:03 of the NYCC Starfleet Academy trailer, you see a battle with some ships - at least a couple of them are Klingon ships that were originally designed for Star Trek Online. The big ship is the QeHpu' Advanced Light Battlecruiser and the little circled one is the M'Chla Bird-of-Prey Refit.

If I had a nickel for every time the canonicity of a Star Trek Online ship has been announced by an New York Comic Con trailer for a Star Trek TV show, I'd have two nickels.

Which isn't a lot, but it's fucking awesome that it's happened twice. 🧵

This marks one of the few times where one of Murphy's "x-treme stuntz" went EXACTLY as intended... Just a little TOO much. The science on this is still being studied.

Melanoma, pancreatic cancer, and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) are each serious clinical challenges due to how common or aggressive they are and how poorly they often respond to treatment. Which is why researchers are determined to develop an effective treatment for all of them.

HIGHLIGHTS
•Lipid NPs carrying STING and TLR4 agonists promote synergistic type I interferons
• NPs drain efficiently to lymph nodes and increase polyfunctional T and B cells
• NPs improve tumor-free outcomes with memory against multiple aggressive tumor models
SUMMARY
We report on the utility of a "super-adjuvant" nanoparticle (NP) system as a modular, customizable platform for next-generation cancer vaccination. Using nanomaterials engineering technology, we aim to harness not only the effective adjuvanticity of whole-pathogen vaccines, but also the safety of subunit vaccines.
Our lipid-based NP platform co-encapsulates agonists of the stimulator of interferon genes (STING) and Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) pathways to promote synergistic production of type I interferons and other
proinflammatory cytokines in innate antigen-presenting dendritic cells and macrophages.
Compared to empty NPs and free agonists, dual-adjuvant NPs administered with antigenic peptides or tumor cell lysate promote increased antigen processing and presentation, drain efficiently to nearby lymph nodes, increase polyfunctional tumor-specific T and B cells, and improve tumor-free outcomes upon vaccination and subsequent challenge with multiple aggressive tumor cells. Graphical Abstract

The vaccine combines two immune-stimulating molecules (adjuvants) in a tiny lipid nanoparticle that enhances both innate and adaptive immune responses. The innate immune system acts as the body’s first line of defense, responding quickly and non-specifically to invaders using cells that release inflammatory signals. The adaptive immune system takes longer to activate but provides a targeted, long-lasting response, training T-cells and B- cells to recognize and remember specific threats. Together, they form a coordinated defense: the innate system alerts and activates the adaptive system, which then delivers precise and durable immunity.
