In a world of disaster capitalism, be a rebel: ride a bicycle and buy your clothes 2ndhand from charity shops. Also, all the best people have trees in their bio. Now tell me, where will your next bike ride be? https://www.WillCycle.com

Nigel Farage should tell the people of #Caerphilly about how he wants to abolish the Senedd.

Actually, no need, we have a video of him saying it.

(Also about how Fox Hunting turns him on).

In addition, I've never been there, and I do love exploring places I've not visited before.
But I did discover I don't much like cycling where it's very flat.
Hills make cycling SO much better.
williamnb.bsky.social
That means I can cycle out to Dartmoor on the Sunday, and cycle from there to work on the Monday.
Thanks for the suggestion 😃

Actually, that Sunday night idea is a good one. I could leave a change of clothes in my locker at work, camp overnight, then cycle in to work.
I have a shower when I get to work anyway.
After work, plod home with all camping gear on the bike.

This page contains the single most useless piece of career advice that I ever received at school.

TL:DR: "Study maths or join the dole queue."

This is insane. If you don't enjoy maths and are not good at maths, you shouldn't waste your time doing it.

1/n
Career advice from late 1999s school folder, saying: "Maths and science subjects are most likely to help you avoid a dead-end job or a place in the dole queue."

The biggest fear in media is that the curtain is torn back, and the truth is seen.

The Cadwalladr conundrum.

@carolecadwalla was made a pariah for her investigations, but the risk is not only that she was right (she was) but that she risked exposing more.

And for the media?

Why did they not make more noise? Why did they, in effect, stay silent?

Does the collusion go as far as the Tory placed BBC board members?

You can see why the China spy case is being pushed so hard now, right? Especially in the Telegraph.

But that opens up more questions.

Did the government conspire by not ordering investigations?

Did the government collude with the Brexit party (who stood aside in the 2019 election to gift Johnson a win)?

If so, why? (the Tory party is awash with Russian money).

We know, from the limited Russia report, that the UK government did not direct SIS to investigate.

Perhaps that is why the BBC, Sky etc. has been so reticent to highlight Gill - because it would raise questions as to why UK government didn't direct.

Did they collude?

These 2 speeches, which, as Nick points out, on the same day, precede what Gill has pled guilty to by 4 years, are more damning for Farage as they also precede Brexit.

All European secret services would have been alarmed by this & would/should have been investigating.

Yeah, if that was me on that bike, I'd have slowly slalomed my way down, riding the brakes, and stopping regularly to admire the views 😂

What an amazing experience! More than half a million people turned up in London today to protest against Israel's apartheid and genocide, dwarfing Yaxley-Lennon's recent parade of obnoxious thuggery. The atmosphere was intoxicating. We're all penniless and […]

Me and my friend, Emma on Thames Bridge. Emma is holding a placard saying "IF PROTESTING GENOCIDE IS UN-BRITISH CONSIDER ME FRENCH". There's a baguette shoved on top of the flag pole. I'm holding a Palestinian flag with the words "FREE PALESTINE". Me photographed from the back. I'm draped in a black flag with white text reading "WILL TRADE RACISTS FOR REFUGEES" and waving a large Palestinian flag with "FREE PALESTINE" on it and a raised fist.

Just in case anyone isn't believing the numbers they're hearing, here's an aerial view. Yes, this was by far the largest national demonstration in Britain since 2003.

Hey you hearing this yet, Starmer? Or do we need to muscle our way into the Houses of Parliament to get your attention?

NEW: The British politician, his Russian intelligence handler & a Kremlin plot against the US & Ukraine.

My new piece about Nathan Gill and Nigel Farage for @thenerve_news in which we ask:

Why, even now, is no-one asking questions?

Remember, in between all that, there will be unexploded munitions, and many bodies - in various stages of decomposition - trapped under the rubble.
Now throw in lack of food, lack of clean water, and no sewage facilities.

Israel is an immoral Apartheid regime, committing genocide.

Many Palestinians have returned to Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City in the aftermath of the Israeli withdrawal, only to find nothing but total destruction.

What’s the one thing you would definitely expect to find in a newspaper column by a government minister, accusing universities of being Factories of Racist Hate? That’s right - examples! Can you guess what the examples to wild assertions ratio is, in this one.

The university I work at it is literally encircled by England flags targeted sometimes implicitly and sometimes very explicitly at students of colour. I wonder why that isn’t part of the discussion about “keeping universities free from hate”? (I don’t actually wonder this).
flyingrodent.bsky.social
That’s the line and by Christ, they are sticking to it come hell or high water. Let’s see whether it’ll work as well on e.g. Italian police arresting them at a holiday villa outside Rimini in 2033.

Hate has no place in our universities or our country.
Antisemitism must be rooted out of our society.
Our education system must play its part in keeping us free from fear and free from hate.

My personal speed record is 53 mph, which is HALF the speed this guy did! It was bloody scary, and it was on roads, while he did double that on stony terrain.
No thanks. He's welcome to that record!
Just thinking about trying it scares the living daylights out of me.
