If Trump knows anything it’s that politics isn’t a debate club; it’s life or death. Democrats play this thing like good sportsmanship matters. Because it’s not with their lives they’re playing; they’re playing with immigrants, with minorities, with worker lives. Trump knows the stakes.

If only we had the technology to remove Nazi tattoos years before running for Senate. If such magical ability existed a man with a Nazi tattoo that shamed him would have simply removed it, like with a laser or something.

If being against a guy with a Nazi tattoo makes me a purist I guess I'm an anti-Nazi purist. If you think that makes me an anti-Nazi single issue voter, you're wrong, but also it's a pretty good single issue.

There is more than a year. Go get another real progressive who doesn't have a Nazi tattoo.

If you are not willing to bleed for your cause then you don’t really have a cause.

There has to be a cost to this thing. This is just white liberals largely unaffected by Trump’s policies trying to feel like they’re doing something.

Nothing short of true organizing and general strike will do

Unions in the south have been destroyed. I belong to an actual leftist union that takes up leftist causes.I live in California, we are not right-to-work and won’t be if I can help it. You can keep complaining about your castrated union, or you can use successful examples to organize & make it better

Yea. Some unions were filled with racists—because America is racist, some unions are corrupt, some are crony institutions, some are mob laundering ops. That said, OVERALL, the only organization more successful at fighting fascists and getting concessions is the Soviet Army

That’s not why union density has plummeted; the capitalist class spends billions on anti-union propaganda and lobbies for anti-union laws. Like vaccines, unions are victims of their success—ppl forgot what was before. As a member, I’d like to suggest we use them as examples of effective organization

I think people forget that we actually have examples of effective organizing that had historically been effective both politically and socially to exert meaningful change: trade unions.

EXACTLY. I’ve been saying this. Trump supporters know he’s a child rapist. He admitted it on air. Multiple times. They don’t care. They won’t care. And they’ll pretend to not trust the source/footage/report, etc.

The American Federation of Teachers (a UNION) just negotiated student loan debt forgiveness for 2.5 MILLION people with the Dept. of Education under Income Contingent Repayment or PAYE (Pay As You Earn) that Trump had previously blocked.
