Even in the rare cases of it being exclusive to someone's theology and not their politics (like how it is with a family member of mine), it doesn't change the reality that a part of them will always think less of you no because of your identity no matter how much they deny it.

Growing up around a lot of religious people, one thing I’ve grown to have very little tolerance for is the sort of Christian whose view on queer people is, “I may not agree with it but I still love you!” Because ultimately that love is meaningless if your actions contribute to harm towards us

I think seeing her as trans is awesome, I see the connection when ppl talk about it, and I have also never in my career been against hcs, why would I start now?

I'm not trying to speak over trans people on this and I'm fully aware of the attempts to invalidate queer head canons (whether it be from the creators themselves or other fans). But I just find a lot of the criticism against her to be incredibly disingenuous.

Owl House literally has a prominent supporting non-binary character and that was under the extremely heavy restrictions of corporate Disney. Also, she's discussed before how homophobia and transphobia are not a thing in the Boiling Isles. Who's to say that isn't going to be the case with this show?

So, about Frankie from KOG...even if you disagree with Dana clarifying how she wrote the character in response to a fan asking about it, I don't understand why some fans are willfully mischaracterizing her as being against trans head canons and representation in her work for doing so.

You look at every culture that's ever existed and the running theme is everyone pretty much just wants to play/dance to music, make art, eat stewed meat wrapped in flat bread, and tell stories about the shapes we find in the stars. Somehow we turned that into wars and overtime and profit margins.
