I overheard a little girl talking to her mom about the Headless Horseman and she said, "The doctor gave him a pumpkin for a head," which, honestly, adds an element of body horror that really amps up the intensity!

Listen to the response to this and look how easy it is to say it.

We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.

Oh, is that what they fear now? Two years later?
A new York Times headline that reads: A Test Now for Israel: Can it repair its ties to Americans? Israel's advocates fear that its conduct of the war has cost it the support of an entire generation of US voters.

Probably the actual advice that most young men need is that no one finds self pity appealing.

Oh not for drawing! I do lettering, design, and production (for instance “unscrolling” Webtoon comics and laying them out for print). I mainly use Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign in heavy rotation.

Yo those Indiana Jones comics are the business!

I remember there being a faint glimmer of "ah that's kind of cool" when I saw the premise for the second one was "what if Flynn went back in and was never seen again?" Just on a character level there, I'm a little interested. But nothing made me want to see Ares!

FYI, I use Adobe Creative Suite 6 to make comics.

I feel like the ignored context there is that Kim Kardashian brings a camera crew to her entire life! That's what she does for a living. But if you went to the jail and then wrote about it on your Substack or talked about it on your podcast afterwards, that would seem more noble for some reason.

Being mad at Ms Rachel is a pretty good tell that you're just mad that people care about Palestine at all— many such cases actually but in that context these people will die mad because people will always care

Perry: "Deportations are up. Arrests are up. … The courthouse remains open and always has. Federal laws are being executed. They're also being broken, as they have been since the beginning of time."

I hear a lot about the male loneliness crisis, but I see a lot of men at my retail job every day and I have come to the conclusion that men could stand to develop their personalities a little more.

"That's the point – the smudge, the rough line, the hesitation - that's what makes my work come alive." - Jim Lee talking about why DC will never use AI storytelling. "AI doesn't dream, feel or make art, it aggregates it."

@jimlee.bsky.social speaking very passionately at Retailer Day. #nycc

What we’ve done is switch all of our online shopping to other retailers — just started using Quill for office supplies and they’re great. We don’t have much in the way of retail nearby but we’ve managed to only get the most occasional weird thing on Amazon!

Local artist absolutely annihilated leaving the house to walk dog as 7-year-old neighbor bikes past and says “oh I didn’t know you were going to finally leave your house today!”

If you click through, you get a whole comic by Frank Doyle and Dan DeCarlo. For those who don't know, a comic is something you read to add a brief moment of mirth to your day!
Betty and Veronica are sitting down to tea, poking fun at people who get easily scared by monster movies, all while a real monster menaces them from outside.
