I'll make another post but reminder that I'm looking for work! I did pretty okay last year, but didn't really feel like it because a bunch of gigs paid late/barely on time which had a real knock-on effect, and this year's been very slow

hi #PortfolioDay - available to make otherworldly work from 2025.
TTRPGs, board games, more vinyl covers and concept + visdev stuff for games/film/tv would be cool!
illustration for Haunted Table's Triangle Agency adventure 'rom dump' - of adventurers zapping out of a barn window - a horned cyclops witha book of spells, a protagonise-looking goblin girl, a blue demon with some kind of spirit mace. A grim reaper hovers in front of the crescent moon. Illustrated cover to the monkey man soundtrack vinyl. The monkey god hanuman opens his ribcage out, behind Dev patel's head. Hanuman's tail is a flaming circle that frames the figures, which dev patel graps. There's flame, blood, fleshy vomit. the busts of two figures, one looks in pain, as they're having their vocal cords yanked from a hole in their throat by the other, who clutches them in a bunch with their furthest hand. With their other hand they concentratedly use a stringed instrument bow on the vocal cords. A rainbow bridges the heads, and is dotted with fantastical music notation. Their busts rest above a small basin. a dark starry background, and a blue room where a bed sit next to windows looking out to the night sky. Psyche lies naked on a patterned bedframe amongst plants, her white hair arching around to the foot of the bed. She looks in wonder at Cupid - who is illuminated by the three candles she holds up. Cupid appears as a fleshy mass, strung within a halo, from which arrows eminate haphazardly.

This is a masterclass on how to effectively draw a cityscape in a small panel. It gives the reader all they need, & we're off to the next panel. Beautiful, effective, & Romita didn't kill himself unnecessarily drawing every window. This is how to do it.

A lesson *I* have yet to learn btw. Errg.

Amazing Spider-Man #60, 1968. Art by John Romita, Don Heck, and Mike Esposito. I love the minimal drawing of the background buildings.

Her excellency, the Queen 🍸 #art #deltarune
A digital illustration featuring the Queen from Deltarune. The piece is styled to somewhat resemble 90s VHS covers. The Queen is sitting in her chair, coloured in with smooth, airbrushed shading. There is a small purple cityscape of Cyber City in the lower third of the image, which she casually raises her leg over, showing her high heels. At the very bottom, standing on a green street, are pseudo-pixel silhouettes of Kris, Ralsei, Susie and Noelle. Below the center of the image, there is a red sunrise light behind the queen, and a green cyber grid on black background takes up the rest of the background. The queen is holding a yellow martini glass of battery acid in one hand, and holding the other in a 'hime laugh' position at her face. Red, green and blue lights are reflecting in her visor.

Here's Gretchen Felker Martin's original essay that appeared in the back of COME INTO ME #2. She's a phenomenal writer and you should absolutely read her work.

It's funny to see people imbue traditional men's tailoring with their own prejudices. They assume every man who wore a suit in the far past must have been a staunch conservative like them. The truth is much more complicated. 🧵
I tweeted: "an easy way to dress better in a coat-and-tie is to imagine yourself shopping a store staffed with sales associates like this. would these people recommend blueberry suits? contrast buttonholes? fun monograms? orange colored shoes? fun socks? lululemon ABC chinos? dress sneakers?"

Someone named "Lux Imperii" quote-tweets me, adding: "Astonishing failure to grasp irony.

“Imagine yourself shopping in a store staffed with sales associates like these”

Indeed.

Yes, what sorts of recommendations might these gentlemen make?
What views might they express?
What values might they have?
What tastes?

Wild."

Sheesh this is 2 years old already... I must finish more things.
A cover for a non-existent comic called "Merry.". The titular character Merry wades through a swamp in the foreground, the water behind him is full of reflective eyes and a large monster towers above the scene.
