I'm of the persuasion that we should just let Texas Chainsaw end. They've tried over and over again to make this into a franchise and literally nothing comes close to the energy of the first film.
Tobe's sequel is wonderful and the remake has some merit but the other six films are unwatchable.

Deadline reports that A24 is developing a TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE TV series from JT Mollner (Strange Darling).
Glen Powell is producing, along with Spooky Pictures.

The opening scene to SCREAM is 13 minutes long. Yet it flies by. It sets the tone for the rest of the film perfectly. Everything about Ghostface is there from the start - the brutality, the phonecalls, the game of it all.
It's a great reminder that pacing is *everything* in horror.
