Seems to me like the Devs cared a lot about the latest game, and probably the prior ones too as far as I can tell, making games is just hard, some of them are going to be unpolished.

I struggle to understand how people care enough about bubsy to hate it or the people that play it. Like any other artwork, if you don't like it, that's fine, don't participate. AFAIK he's a cute design in some mid games that remained relevant via memes. Honestly so many games were like bubsy...

Yeah, that's the worst part, the scam is slash and burning artists accounts, it's not even really clear what they stand to gain from it all. Scumbags

Apparently I'm big enough to get targeted by scams now.
PSA: this scam takes over accounts and uses them to target others. If your friend sends you messages like this, it's probably a scam.
(They blocked me immediately after this exchange)

Message log of scam tactic, an artist I was following reached out to apologise for reporting me. The rest is boloney and doesn't matter, don't leave the site with someone for "proof"

Oh, and make sure to use an art hashtag and alt text your images, getting included on the art feeds does a lot to win a few extra eyeballs.

BSKY really rewards interaction, an art post generally vaporises too quickly to make a mark on its own. Cross post and repost, nobody seems to mind; and definitely interact with people, even the big accounts seem to be chatting, sharing and reposting.

One upside to Instagram making its platform unusable: there's a bunch of folks I follow on BSKY that usually post while I'm asleep/working, I know I was missing them but never thought to use the bell until today, after an IG post explained that it was the only way to see follows' posts there now...
