I was unemployed for 7 months, every week I would see another project cancelled or studio shut down and think “well, fuck, that’s another 6-12 producers added to the group of us looking, applying to maybe 1-3 quality jobs available” and it sucked. It doesn’t reflect any of our skills or drive.
I can't emphasize this enough: If you're struggling to find work in games, you're not the only one and please don't blame yourself. The horrible state of the industry is unprecedented. The crash in the 80s and the recession in the late 2000s weren't as rough as this. There are so few opportunities.

My great grandad, grandad, and dad have an affinity with doing things with their hands, and they have technical drawing skills. I think I inherited the affinity but not skills cus' I had to work for it.
