Want to preface this by saying I am not against the inventory system update.... But I legit don't get the hate the OG Signalis inventory system get.

Most of these reporters see themselves as open-minded liberals who would NEVER harm another person, and they hate that this joke directly counters the lie they tell themselves about how generous and open-minded they are, and that they're actually just like all the cruel bigots before.

The transphobic journalists are especially hurt by it because they refuse to believe that their reporting is doing direct harm. They know the history of their profession, they know how bad reporting has hurt minorities in the past, and they HATE that this points out that they're doing it, too.
