Speaking of Canadian Thanksgiving, we tag teamed it this year and damn was it tasty. I'm the cook who did the risotto-stuffed acorn squash and hubs is the baker who did the Dutch apple pie (we decided against pumpkin pie to avoid double-gourding).

Yeah, we really don't have the whole "Pilgrims and Indians" nonsense up here. I like Canadian Thanksgiving as a celebration of harvest and family. A connection to the earth that nourishes us. And it's very close to National Truth and Reconciliation Day, we can appreciate both.

Thanksgiving in Canada has nothing to do with Columbus!

We are a colonial country with a million things to atone for but Thanksgiving is not one of them.

Our Thanksgiving is timed with the harvest and it's literally just "Be grateful for harvest"
