so like, bsky has this "rich text" editor, but really they dont use any of the rich text features. they just take the plaintext output and parse it AGAIN to get the mentions/hashtags/links.
there is really no rich text involved here, it is just plaintext with syntax highlighting!

but seriously, small caps is severely underrated, and is easy to display (css font-variant:small-caps)
once you have it, you'll realize there are emotions which cant be conveyed through any other type of text styling

(facet on "/this/" with {style:'italic',strip:[1,1]} = display contents as italic after stripping the first/last chars)

did anyone else notice in like 2023 when every tech company switched that art style with the weird smooth shapes and multiple colors of lighting? e.g. discord.com, the windows 11 emojis, etc.
i strongly associate this with ai images... did they tell their artists to imitate that for some reason??
