i wish dogs were real so i could eat them
since finding out the dogs can be made of translucent jelly ive been on almost singleminded quest to breed the wettest, jelliest, most iridescent dog i can manage, and ive got some really nice little specimens
are you ever overcome with the powerful urge to buy colorful little plastic fish
doctors who treat cardiac patients are starting to actually test them to see if theyre even going to respond to dietary treatment. thats good, it saves a lot of time and effort for everyone. if youre a BP patient on a low salt diet, and you havent been tested for salt sensitivity, maybe ask the dr
www.ahajournals.org/doi/full/10.... there's a third issue, which is that only a certain percentage of humans even experience blood pressure changes in response to salt intake. if you arent one of those people, trying to control your blood pressure with salt dosing will probably fail anyway

i also thik that the fact (if the cited paper is correct) that we have ***not been able*** to achieve "recommended" levels of salt intake in free-living subjects even when they tried to comply and had intensive coaching means that whether its "bad" or not is ehhhh (waggles hand) sort of irrelevant
my personal feeling? that a species evolved to run laps in the savannah while sweating, and that has evolved alongside salt-preserved food and in coastal settlements for millennia, probably is suited to eating a lot of salt. but watch out
as usual the answer to "well what should i eat then smart guy" is "it depends" and anyone who tells you there's a one size fits all solution is a charlatan and should be ignored
the anti-salt capitalist interests include the diet industry, the specialist food industry (health food marketing "low salt alternative" "healthier" specialty foods at higher prices, etc) and both sides have influencers making $$$ off posting about it and telling people what to do
if you go to the sidebar of the paper i linked above and click the "cited by" links, there are multiple papers essentially calling the paper i linked bullshit. then there are other papers calling THOSE papers bullshit. etc. this is how scientific progress is made, its like rabbinical debate
HOWEVER it is important to note that this is extremely controversial and involves a lot of different players. both sides of the salt debate stand to gain a lot from misrepresenting their research, both sides have capitalist interests. the pro-salt side includes fast food processors and retailers
froggy the REALEST as usual

lately i've been rocking a 1/4 tonic solution (7.5 g NaCl, 0.3 g KCl, 1.1 g CaCitrate, 0.2 g MgCitrate, and 0.8 Glucose in a gallon of water), and not only is it tasteless and refreshing in kind of a balanced way, it provides a reasonable facsimile of drinking the watered-down blood of one's enemies
this is Mold Spore. hes smaller than a chicken nugget
for some reason Wobbledogs has an incredibly powerful photography feature now
the song is beautiful and changes in its mood depending on which musicians you can hear. just the vocals, or the vocals and drums, or drums and brass, and so on. its brilliant.
on Theday (days of the week) theres a citywide festival where little quartets & trios of alien musicians all play different parts of the same song in unison, and all of it is directional, environmental audio. as you walk around you hear the different parts fade in and out of one, continuous song
god the sound design in this game is so underrated. its just wall of sound totally immersive full on NOISE and it's all so perfectly tuned and placed and toned
he does this irl too, i have to gently make him sit to the side whenever im doing medical stuff because Nurse Grim always wants to help
attn @3liza.bsky.social Churchgrim showed up in my dream last night; he was a great comfort as i dug small shards of glass out from under my skin where it had healed over them

When I got my CHF dx and they put me on fluid and sodium restrictions and all the various meds, I was a constant syncope risk until my doctor was like "we never do this for patients like you, but I'm going to raise your sodium and fluid intake" and I've had like zero issues since lol
