It’s also the reason why I overindulge the way I do. When I was in those situations, I’d drink and smoke to join and be a part of the party…and just keep going to take the edge off of feeling like odd man out. Which would feed into the guilt & embarrassment

Putting myself in social situations where I made a fool of myself or embarrassed myself thoroughly b/c I thought the alternative of being alone was worse. I would overstay my welcome or ingratiate myself to the wrong ppl b/c I just didn’t want to be alone again. I replay some of those in my head 🤮

My ability to be kind and forgiving to myself. Trust in my vision. I have the ability to be great, but I get in my own way. I also overindulge. I don’t drink everyday, but when I decide to drink, I’m committed to the party and that isn’t always necessary, esp on a Tuesday. It’s leftover social shit.
