1. Media blackouts over censorship is 100% what the platform wants. They don't want you here posting about things like this.

2. Any boycott with a specific end time is not a boycott that will have any long term effects as the entity being boycottedd can simply plan around it.

all this means is an issue that bsky mods do NOT want controversy around will have NO posting about it for a full week

a large number of people who come back from the "blackout" will likely not start up the complaints again

it hamstrings the cause

I'm not participating in a blackout because the point is moderation and others want me and those like me gone, and I would much rather continue to occupy the space I helped build rather than give everyone a chance to feel how much "better" it is without me. why wither when you can be a thorn.

I think the intent of your words and actions is important, but it's in no way more important than the impact. Also your willingness to take criticism on your actions and grow as a person is just as important! When you hurt someone don't let your ego get in the way of healing.
