It would be such a missed opportunity to not talk about the journaling game zines I've published on this platform where you actually see the posts by people you follow.

The Ink That Bleeds is about immersion and bleed and self care and...
What I'm thinking about right now: I've played a lot of journaling games, but not often more than one by the same creator.

From what creators have you played more than one solo/journaling game?

If you ordered a game/zine from me this weekend my shipping intern just mailed it to you.

I love the practice of making games from the components of other games. My duet game, The Same Beach, uses Timeline cards.

Love this.
We think of ourselves as so different and modern, but the essence of human intimacy is timeless.
More than 3,300 years ago, an unknown Egyptian wrote a love poem: clear, pure, mysterious. This translation by Egyptologist John Foster brings it to life in a way that leaves me breathless.

Ontario passed a law starting Jan 2026 that it is illegal for companies to ghost you.

If you have interviewed for a job they are legally required to inform you if they hire someone else or close the position.

The law also requires salary transparency on listings and disclosing use of AI

Had a super good time playing this with my family at this time last year, each of us in a different room on a different device yelling across the apartment trying to figure out the puzzles. You should try it. I think you'll have a lot of fun.
Puzzle alert!

I just got an order for The Ink That Bleeds from someone who lives in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Do people who live in paradise need immersive journaling games?

The obvious way to do this psy-op on working class white Americans would be to flood the social media zone with scary non-white people. But it must not work as well as flooding the zone with scared white people.
If I’m understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?

I’ll start with Public Guest 5. It’s our solo TTRPG about living beneath an artificial menacing planet. You roll 2 dice once every real-world day until your world explodes. Until it does, you live your life well.

In all mediums of communication (stories, poems, songs, comics, paintings, games, etc) we're hungry for another person's true lived experience that contends with narratives programmed into us by society that aren't in our interests, and with other ways society uses and abuses us.

This was a great episode. @ehronlime.bsky.social has such insight and experience at making a great, functional RPG playtesting community. And also such a purposeful sense of making games.

Also, "More Matts than women" 😮
Starting the day listening to @newmadras.bsky.social in conversation with @ehronlime.bsky.social about TTRPG & communities in Yes Indie’d — only fitting given that today is our final fall conversation at Auburn about play & communities with @itsquinns.bsky.social this afternoon.
