It would be such a missed opportunity to not talk about the journaling game zines I've published on this platform where you actually see the posts by people you follow.

The Ink That Bleeds is about immersion and bleed and self care and...
A copy of The Ink That Bleeds and a copy of Be With Me, both journaling game / zines by Paul Czege.

Who's excited for spooky season? 🎃✋

Who's also struggling with SAD and and feeling overwhelmed by the sheer number of small tasks to juggle every day? ✋✋

If you're interested in a tiny game that encourages mutual accountability through hexing your friends, keep a sharp eye out here next week... 👀
A small ad for a small TTRPG. The name of the game, AVERT!, is displayed in large text next to a logo of a stylized eye inside two circles. Below, explanatory text reads: "a bookmark game about mutual accountability and hexing your friends".

I looked in my same desk drawer a dozen times the past two days for my Mars eraser where I always put it back and couldn't find it. And I looked again just now and the damned elves must have returned it in the night because it was there.

Check out this close-up from a photo a player of The Balsam Lake Unmurders just sent me. You can see how he tracked his suspects to crack the case.
A hand-written list of names of suspects like Mae Carune and Emmeline Statz, each with three boxes labeled ♣️❤️♦️ used to track method, motive, and opportunity from journaled interactions with them.

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

How many trillions of dollars have been invested into this technology so far?
Google search for "austria hungary in space"

Google excitedly tells you about the 1889 orbital flight, and that by 1908 there was a Mars research output with 30 people.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

I'm looking for a flash fiction piece published in a journal -- I don't remember where, or who, or even the title -- but it's about a mother whose daughter has become a vampire or a zombie and the mother is helping the daughter, at great risk to herself -- does this sound familiar to anyone?

Daddy: "Yeah. Do you like Celeste?"
Kiddo: "I only have a Chromebook."
Daddy: "What does that have to do with anything? Wait...is Celeste a game? A Windows game?"
Kiddo: "Yes. What did you think it was?"
Daddy: 🙄

Daddy: "That seems like normal boy jealousy."
Kiddo: "No. Oscar says Harley only does because Celeste is popular."
Daddy: "I see. So Oscar doesn't think Harley likes Celeste for the right reasons."
Kiddo: "But he doesn't know. He's just saying that about Harley."

Kiddo: "Oscar and Harley had a super big argument today. They say they're not friends anymore."
Daddy: "No kidding. What did they argue about?"
Kiddo: "Oscar likes Celeste and says it's okay if other people do too, but doesn't like that Harley likes Celeste."

There's a front yard flower garden I love on the street where I park to walk my son to his school. One morning this past spring the older woman homeowner who tends it was outside and I told how beautiful it is and how it makes me happy and asked her about some of the flowers I didn't...

Played through The Balsam Lake Unmurders by @paulczege.bsky.social . Had a great time with this game! The game system feels really good for solving a mystery.

I ended up solving the case with very little time to spare

Love this essay. We don't succeed at finding our true selves by moving away from the deathly things we aren't, but by moving into the enlivening things we are.
