As he falls the pink orb begins trying to inhale the swordsman, maybe he can gain the sword ability… right now though he needs something more instead of his natural combat skills.

And… he’s sure the bad person behind this tournament would question if he didn’t at least try and inhale Link.

He didn't expect an easy fight; Kirby was specifically chosen to be here, which alone meant he was an exceptional fighter. The hero knew that whoever won, the future would be in good hands.

The pink ball soon does a slide kick at Link’s legs “Ya .ᐟ” The puffball was keeping his attention on the battle to make it look good, he will give a good show…

He has to do this for his friends and once they can… they will find a way to save everyone, he believes they can do it .ᐟ

As Pikachu charges ahead, Mario reaches into his pockets and yanks out a big, wooden mallet! Like a game of whack-a-mole, he swings down and tries to nail the Pokémon on the head!

That bounce ended up being another surprise to the mouse once again ; squashed right back against the bridge and briefly flattened like a cartoon until returning back to normal with sustained damages .

Completely taken by surprise from these feats if strength from the plumber !

The shot itself was a test of Jigglypuff's reactions and her nerves and how she would come to handle the situation! She wanted to test the pokemon and make sure that she was ready from the get go! After this, the true fight started!

He could have asked if he could copy him but he doesn’t think that would look good and doing it out of random right there and then would have been rude when they just became friends.

Now… it’s time for the real fight to began .ᐟ

Before doing any sort of attack however DK would just walk up and extend a hand. Letting Ness know he was at least going to be friendly even when their respective worlds are at risk.

After their friendly exchange he pounded on his chest. Donkey Kong was ready for the fight. May the best win.

Mario doesn’t waste time, and now descends on Pikachu, bouncing off of his back. The squashing force of his tread was astounding, not due to his weight but the strength of his legs. He lands on the other side of the bridge.

He didn’t wanna hurt Pikachu, but they couldn’t let their worlds die.

“ PIKA ! ”

The mouse cried out while the spell would have made him crash against the bridge where he'd stayed down for a moment ; quick to lift himself back up.

Given the timing however, Mario has the advantage !

Link would rather not be the one talking, but he promised his guardian fairy that he would try, and something about the puffball made it easy for him to speak. There was no real need to focus on any of that; they had a game to play.

Another yell that engulfed the mouse in electricity as he hopped upwards in the air, firing out another intense bolt of yellow electricity to the plumber's direction one more time !

His moves can allow him to reliably strike at a distance, but he wasn't expecting the plumber to be this agile !

—Flower to use pyrokinesis, but not if he expends some of his pool of Flower Magic. Above Pikachu in midair, he throws his fist forward and casts Super Flame!

An azure Spade Suite sigil appears over Mario’s form as he launches a volley of giant fireballs down at Pikachu!
