Another photo for blue sky Monday.
This one has a Caribbean vibe, but is actually Paradise Point Resort, a very nice place in San Diego’s Mission Bay Park.
A fun place to rent a boat for the day.
It’s also just 10 minutes from the airport 🤗!

My first hike last April, after a knee replacement, was on the Guy Fleming trail in Torrey Pines Park in La Jolla, California.
It’s a pretty easy hike, and it will reward you with fabulous views of the Pacific Coast and the pacific coast highway!

Church Rock near Moab, Utah.
Legend has it, that it was hollowed out by a religious group and contains their church.
In reality, the farmer who owns the land, blasted a room into it to store cattle feed and supplies.

Our road trip nearing the end, we woke up to this beautiful morning after overnight rain.
The desert between the Vermillion Cliffs and the Colorado River was greeting us with a powerful scent of sagebrush.
The road ahead was pointing toward home, California ❤️!

I love road trips, specially in Utah!
First time on the Moki Dugway, officially state highway 261, I thought, this would never be called a highway in California!
A few miles later we got stuck behind a cattle drive, until a cowboy rode in front of us through the herd!

Hope your valentine day was as good as you deserved!
In case it wasn’t… I’m adding another rose 🌹🤗!

Walking into an area that has burned in the not too distant past, it’s always great to see relatively young Giant Sequoias thriving in the sunshine… and their very unique forest scape 🤗🙏👏!

The desert is usually an unlikely place to find fish, unless you’re talking about the Desert Pupfish, which these are not.
The ponds at the Springs RV Resort in Borrego Springs, Ca, are stocked for strictly catch and release fishing.

A view of the pacific, with the Oceanside pier leading to the horizon.
It’s a a 50-50 split by the flagpole in the middle, but you can follow a path to the pier from left, center or right, no bad choices 🤗👏!
This was a warm February day🙏!

Windows set deep in the adobe walls of the Hubbell Trading Post, a historic site.
Mr Hubbell by all accounts had a honorable reputation with the Navajo community. He lies buried in the Navajo tradition on Hubbell Hill behind the trading post.

The Moreno and Machado Ranch adobe buildings date to 1846, and were used as cowboy bunk houses on the Rancho that covered large part of the #SantaRosaPlateau.

A detailed scene in a part of Canyon de Chelly shows a trail curving around a narrow, freestanding wall of red rock.
Light in the canyon was difficult, however, the wall is bathed in reflected sunlight from the opposite rock, giving it that rich, warm glow 🔥!

The Oceanside pier, first built in 1888, and the current version restored in 1987, is beautifully lit up by a pacific sunset.
It is the longest wooden pier in California, and is showing off its intricate design in this photo.
