Then enlighten me.

What specifically is ICE doing that is dehumanizing?
#SacredScripture is extremely profitable for the soul. Like a tree planted near a stream, the soul that is watered by #Scripture grows hearty and bears fruit in due season. It is fitted with leaves that are always green, with actions pleasing to God” (St. John of Damascus, #Orthodox Faith 4, 17).
If you’re seeing this know that I just prayed for you.

Sounds to me they are so close to being Catholic they just should cross the Tiber now and get it over with.
The Church calls for compassion, yes, but also for order, justice, and respect for legitimate national authority.

Every nation enforces its borders, to my knowledge ICE isn’t doing anything different. What specifically is ICE doing that is dehumanizing?
Beautiful!
Usually they only get put on for Sunday Mass, but for her day today I turned on Margaret Mary's lights.
Justice will be done in an eternal sense, but don’t expect it to happen in this life.
We can care about human dignity and still acknowledge truth: illegal migrants broke the law by crossing the border without permission. Mercy never excuses injustice. The Catechism calls for both compassion and respect for lawful authority, charity must walk with truth.
2241 also reminds immigrants to “respect with gratitude” the host nation, obey its laws, and “assist in carrying civic burdens.” That includes obeying laws, paying taxes, contributing to the community, and respecting the common good, responsibility goes both ways.
Leftists often twist Church teaching to mean we must take everyone in, no matter what. But the Catechism doesn’t say that. Defending migrants doesn’t mean ignoring borders, laws, or due process. Justice demands compassion and order, both protect human dignity.
You’re right that every person is made in God’s image and deserves dignity. But the Catholic Church also teaches in CCC 2241 that nations may regulate immigration “to the extent they are able.” That means the right to migrate isn’t unlimited, it’s balanced by the common good.
And good priests usually knows when someone is trying to hide something. So when that happens the priest has the authority to give a penance to go and rectify a person who was wronged. Either by apologizing or something more.
Or it can be just doing so many prayers like Our Fathers, Hail Marys, or Glory Be’s.

Once a sin or series of sins are confessed the priest may want to talk to the penitent (the person confessing) and ask questions about what they did and why.
As a practicing Catholic, I believe repentance is crucial for any sin.

When a sin is mortal, it must be confessed to a priest during the sacrament of reconciliation. Once confessed, the priest administers penance, which can be a form of rectification for the person who was wronged.
Maybe people are just done going to a concert and want more reverence for God.
St. Ignatius of Antioch (35-107 CE)

They abstain from the Eucharist and from offering, because they confess not the Eucharist to be the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ, which suffered for our sins, which the Father, of His goodness, raised up again. Those, therefore, who speak against this gift of God, incur death.

Take heed to have but one Eucharist. For there is one flesh of our Lord Jesus Christ, & one cup to show forth the unity of His blood; one altar; as there is one bishop, along with the presbytery & deacons, that so whatsoever you do you may do it according to the will of God.
