When I tell people that we can still reduce populations & consumption to soften the fall, they don't want to hear it. They want to electrify their lives, not reduce anything. The same people say "there is nothing we can do" re populations & consumption. This is projection on their behalf.

I used to wonder why the West’s ruling class doesn’t care about protecting the climate and biosphere and the lives and livelihoods of billions. Now I know it’s because they are sick irredeemable degenerates who need to abuse, torture, and kill people to feel alive.
