I always need space for new books, but I'm basically out of places in my house to put bookshelves. So when I find an odd-shaped bookcase that perfectly fits into a small available space in my house, it's super satisfying.

What I got was a cheap Chinese POS.
Yesterday my dad asked if I'd want his old player instead.
Fuck yes! Vintage, high quality Japanese appliance. SCORE!

Just watched a video I took at a concert. (I usually video one verse, or at most one song, but spend the rest of the time in the moment.)
Throughout the video you can hear dude near me gushing about what a great song it is.

I recently replaced all the smoke alarms in my house, and the new ones have a light INSIDE the unit that glows throughout and is much brighter than the small LED on the units I used to have.
As someone who needs their bedroom pitch black this is devastating (and unfixable).

I used to write poetry. I thought they were pretty good, but more than that, I enjoyed it.
When I was getting my masters in Creative Writing (prose), I showed one to a poetry MFA. He wasn't impressed, and didn't hide it.
I haven't written anything since then.
