There's so much stuff that I want to do in my Vampire games, but one is on hiatus and the other is every other week and I don't feel like I get to play anything close to as often as I'd like. I'm thinking of starting an all new group, but I'm a little bit intimidated at the prospect.

I have a complicated relationship to the holidays. They were typically spent at a relatives house where I would find myself not feeling welcome in either the den, where all the men would be watching "the game" or upstairs where the woman would be cooking and talking. There were no in-between spaces.

A lot of people only know Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin, but his more recent output has been absolutely phenomenal. He voice has aged well and he always surrounds himself with incredible musicians. His work from Dreamland to today has been great imo

Going through the CoC Keepers Handbook more and it's like they thought of every darn situation and they give you a way to resolve it with a dice roll. The mechanics are simple to grasp on the surface but it actually gets pretty deep. I can see why Jared Logan called it the Rolls Royce of gaming now

I'm reading through the Call of Cthulhu Keepers Handbook and suddenly the idea for a game where you all play as 1930s era Chicago mobsters came to mind. I bet that would be a lot of fun for the players!

Ok I'm refocused back on what is now a CoC one shot. Today I'm coming up with some NPCs to populate the ship with, and then I've got a LOT of source book material to read through. I need to learn CoC character creation as well as go through the Malleus Monstrorum to align my vision with the mythos

Just picked up the Call of Cthulhu Investigators Handbook and it suddenly occurred to me that I'm one of those people who collects ttrpg books now, which is fine, although I'll probably need a new bookshelf for them all eventually

Daggerheart got me wanting to run that idea for a high fantasy campaign I've been kicking around in my head for a long while now. However, in my head the adventure is set a Fayrun so there's a conflict of interest there lol

Daggerheart after action report - We got out of the dungeon only to find that our town had been burned and the pyre extinguished. (Kinda playing a Dark Souls-ish game.) Next session we're heading into the super dangerous wilderness to try and save the survivors. Also I am now a lvl 2 monkey bard!

Daggerheart after action report - We got out of the dungeon only to find that our town had been burned and the pyre extinguished. (Kinda playing a Dark Souls-ish game.) Next session we're heading into the super dangerous wilderness to try and save the survivors. Also I am now a lvl 2 monkey bard!

It's The Uncanny Boris Karloff's birthday! It's a great day to kick back and watch a couple of films featuring this master of the macabre! I recommend The Bride of Frankenstein for a younger Karloff and also his swan song Targets!

My girlfriend is taking me to the annual holiday party the corpo she works for throws every year and it's going to be at the Birch Aquarium so very fancy! I've been putting together an outfit for it and I just picked up some pretty feathers hang from my gauges

Wish I was running Vampire today. Instead I'll be playing in a Daggerheart game yaaaay so that's good. I play as a bard spider monkey with a haunted hurdy gurdy. So far we've mostly been in a dungeon fighting black ooze drinking cultists so I'm looking forward to more RP opportunities soon I hope

I have a major complaint about the Call of Cthulhu Keepers Handbook - Imo the typeface is to small and hard to read. I shouldn't have to buy a magnifying glass thingy to read it comfortably.

My little bit of life advice is that the AAA card is totally worth it. You will rarely need to use their services, but when you do it'll save yer butt.
