The advice / observations a character gives another - esp in charged situations - can hit harder if they're also talking about themselves.
Part of why the 'Death is your art' speech in BtVS hits so well (IMO), is that Buffy's not the only one with a death wish.

Big budget doesn't guarantee a great movie, as wowing with effects and grandeur can often mean that the story sucks and the characters lack depth, so don't think low budget means a film will be rubbish. #scriptsky
Simpler can be more effective.
Less is usually more.
Substance over style.

Do you know what's pretty cool that i've noticed in some shows? Audio playing out the rest of a scene out with plain black and white credits. They did that in "Midnight Mass" with one of the characters screaming on the boat and in "Cross" where two characters fought each other.

With a finite number of pages in a screenplay, mastering word efficiency helps you pack in more plot, increase the speed of the read, and trim off the fat, leaving only the pivotal bits. #scriptsky

I've actually tackled two new genres which I normally haven't done which is action and romance but if I were to pick another one I would try to do children's tv because sadly that's one of the biggest exports in my country and I can't be bothered to do historical fiction
