The #Ashes Cricket may have been (predictably) disappointing, but I have enjoyed seeing more of Australia from the air. This transfer is in a Cessna Citation CJ3+ from Adelaide to Essendon Airport Melbourne ahead of the Boxing Day Test. #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

On this Winter Solstice, I am reminded of being in New York some 20 or so years ago and going to Paul Winter’s “Silver Solstice” concert in the Cathedral of St John the Divine- an amazing musical experience for the longest night. youtu.be/pijziFxdLDU?...

#Harkageddon. I’ve done well to avoid a sung version of “Hark! The Herald Angels sing” until the evening of Advent IV!

The Inextinguishable; Norwegian with the help of Carl Nielsen operate a shorthaul flight from Molde to Oslo in the PMDG737. Again an oddity on approach where it didn't seem to line up with localiser, but good visibility for visual landing. #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

Santa special, Birmingham to Rovaniemi, departs the Midlands in heavy fog, but the PMDG 738 experiences a total and irrecoverable (by me at least) flight plan loss in the FMC so we have to divert to Newcastle. Looks like Fenwicks Christmas Windows, not the North Pole, for these passengers! #MSFS2024

It's good to have the PMDG 738 for #MSFS2024, even if the upgrade cost of "a couple of cups of coffee" suggests PMDG buy their beans at Fortnum & Mason! Mainly a good flight from Geneva to Leeds/Bradford but it didn't want to reduce speed properly through the flaps. #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

And here's a sightseeing tour over Adelaide, taking of and landing at Parafield airport, to coincide with the 3rd #Ashes Test. #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

I should have posted this sightseeing flight over Brisbane in the BN Islander back at the start of December, but better late than never. #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek #Ashes

A perfectly trouble-free Fenix A319 flight from Prague to Liverpool, until... turning onto final, whole PC freezes :-( Fortunately FSiPanel able to reset a close position and, after reboot, complete the landing. #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

Back in the skies, after a difficult three weeks, both with a complicated upgrade to SU4 in #MSFS2024, which seemed to reset everything, final removal of #MSFS2020 and also mainly being under the weather and simply not feeling like flying. Hopefully on a slow upward curve now. #Flightsim #Aviation

Meanwhile, back in Australia, I find a Jetstar A230 that has had it's software upgrade completed quickly, to take me from Canberra to Brisbane ahead of the 2nd #Ashes Test. #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

More from iniBuilds Manchester. I see that the girl from ATC tower has visited the T1 food court and managed to slice her knee through the table. Good to see that she doesn't look in too much pain! #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

Virtual Plane Spotting from the new iniBuilds Manchester Airport scenery. It's impressive and very close to real life in many locations. #MSFS2024 #Aviation #Flightsim #AVGeek #ManchesterAirport

Does anyone know how to get the Lat/long position and altitude of the Drone camera in #MSFS2024 #Aviation #Flightsim

The launch of the iniBuilds scenery for Manchester has been much anticipated by many, including me, for which it is my nearest airport. Parked at a remote stand, connected to VATSIM as an observer, and virtual plane spotting has never been so much fun- there's a reason it has so many streamers!

I particularly liked the music in this TV ad encouraging Brits to visit USA after tourism dropped off in the wake of 9-11. Let’s hope that dystopia is replaced, a return to “normality” & the need for a new ad. For now, Happy Thanksgiving to those who follow this account.

Having learned that Virgin Australia are wet-leasing some Qatar 777s, and adding a Doha route, I stretched this to provide a fictitious "fifth-freedom" type transfer from Perth to Canberra, Australia's capital. #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

Scheduled flight from Kalgoorlie back to Perth with a QantasLink A320 (Fenix). Sim needed a restart to enable the Fenix App to connect- an irritating issue still not fixed with the latest update- though the approach/landing definitely seemed smoother, fewer stutters. #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation

A transfer from Leonora to Kalgoorlie gives the opportunity to try the #MSFS2024 BN Islander from BlackBox Simulations, now that it's briefly down to an acceptable purchase fee. Growing in the 1890s gold rush, Kalgoorlie is home to the richest square mile of gold in the world. #Flightsim #Aviation

The Gipps GA8 Airvan is far morelikely to be seen flying in and out of remote airstrips in the outback, but I don't have that model, so the similar Kodiak 100 will have to substitute, on this short cargo flight from Laverton to Leonora- mining country. #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

The RFDS, in addition to PC12s, also operate PC24s out of Jandakot, which greatly reduce travel times across the vast distances of WA. Here, a PC24 travels to Laverton, 437nm ENE of Jandakot, Perth in 71 minutes. #MSFS have these flying ambulances very well modelled. #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

From Albany back to Perth, once again with Rex in a Saab 340. I found the GSX profile I had located had some serious bugs, which opened non-existent doors which then couldn't be closed properly! #Flightsim #MSFS2024 #Aviation #AVGeek

After a comfort and fuel stop at Ravensthorpe, the journey continues westward toward Albany, where there's some rain about. I'm really enjoying the T206H (especially as it's freeware!) #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek
