It is the honor of my lifetime to share that @universitypress.cambridge.org will publish the @lingsocam.bsky.social's new Journal of Black Language & Culture. www.lsadc.org/content.asp?...

JBLAC fosters a transdisciplinary conversation on Black language & culture through a global, diasporic lens.
It was amazing to be home sitting by the James River when I logged on for the first time ever as lead editor of Journal of Black Language and Culture. The full website should be live in a few weeks.

Not sure I've ever published something so blatantly personal -- and it's a book review, of all things! I even cited my mom's book! Here's to normalizing the practice of positionality statements. Thanks to the editors and authors for the opportunity. #inclusion journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...

What makes the BAD Lab so great is our diasporic focus and the lived experiences that all our members bring to our community.

And so I’ve had a heavy heart all day thinking of our BAD lab families as Hurricane Melissa approaches.

If you need support during this time, please reach out.
