Arguably the best ride at Paris's Walt Disney Studios Park is Ratatouille: L'Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy (try saying that 3 times fast). It's a cute little trackless dark ride that takes you into Remy's world for 5 minutes. Thankfully now in 2D!

Guangzhou Sunac Land has a pair of incredibly iconic coasters in Dueling Dragons, with the Red Sit-Down and Green Inverted tracks sharing opposite sides of the same launch, loop, and spike.

Sadly, they no longer duel. But Red is still a really fun ride!

Dole Whips. They're just way too sweet for me.

Also those giant turkey legs.

One of the surprise highlights of my time in South Korea was my afternoon at Skyline Luge Busan, which is right next door to Lotte World Adventure Busan.

They have 4 different luge track routes you can take. This is the Wind Track (right-right).

I've always been a bit critical of Disneyland's Pinocchio because of how dark everything is in there, but like everything else at Tokyo Disneyland, the Oriental Land Company takes good care of their ride & Pinocchio's Daring Journey is actually well-lit!

Yeah, I think they do collaborate with a number of other creators, but most of those were likely for footage of the creators rather than clean footage of the ride itself.

But when I offered to let them use my footage and showed them my existing videos I'd done of similar rides, they got excited.
acoasterstory.bsky.social
This one is exciting!

I collaborated with Gyeongju World to film a bunch of their rides, and now they're going to use my footage for their marketing stuff instead of their old shaky video.

This is their fun dive coaster Draken, their Griffon clone:

And today we're starting off this new batch of ride POV videos with a bang:

It's Gravity Max, the world's first Tilt Coaster at LIHPAO Land Discovery World in Taiwan, from 2002!

Pulls some intense sustained G's but is pretty smooth and enjoyable!

Pretty sure it's because they've replaced autocorrect with AI.
acoasterstory.bsky.social
I planned it. Lol.

Today is the first day in my new batch of POV's. I think you'll probably enjoy the coming weeks and months!
acoasterstory.bsky.social
In fairness, *I* went to bed before most of that. Lol. I was literally in bed, nodding off, trying to get through posting the last of what all we did last night before I could let myself fully zonk out.

I got behind on posting at Yeti Trek and stayed hours behind all day afterwards.
acoasterstory.bsky.social
So I apparently got distracted running around Canada's Wonderland and never got around to posting the link to Friday's POV:

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at Hong Kong Disneyland!

Can you spot all the differences from the other versions?

Hot take:

AlpenFury is the coaster that Kings Dominion should have gotten to replace Volcano.

Relevant Coaster POV (even if I did film this one last year):

So last year, I went up to Toronto for work and ended up popping down to Niagara, where I rode the infamous Burger King Coaster.

Well, this past weekend I did it again, so I thought it was only fitting that it be today's POV!

It's super janky, btw.

More Night Rides
The Conjuring Again

Top of the morning to y'all!

That's Canada's Wonderland, but they don't open for another couple of hours. And that's not where we're starting things off today.

But we will be back later!

But first...

Saturday's Theead:

Darien Lake Coasters & Things
Niagara Burger King Coaster
Nightmares Fear Factory
Sushi Dinner

acoasterstory.bsky.social
Happy Saturday from Darien Lake!

It was a bit earlier of a morning than you'd expect for a noon park opening, but it took almost 3 hours to get here from our hotel, including a ~25 min wait at the border.

Friday's thread:

I love the international terminal. Curbside to airside in literally 3 minutes.

Now onwards for another little coastering adventure!
acoasterstory.bsky.social
And now it's time to head home.

I had a great long weekend up in the greater Toronto/Buffalo/Niagara/Muskoka area!

If you missed any of my daily threads, I'll link to them down below.

Where will my next adventure be?

Perhaps somewhere else with a new-for-2025 coaster?
acoasterstory.bsky.social
This one is for @dadventureswithwes.bsky.social. Depending on how you count things, this is either incredibly timely or a full year late. Lol.

And overall, this was a great weekend hanging out with @jkwanny.bsky.social!

My original plan was to just spend 2.5 days at Wonderland, but I'm really glad we made those side trips to Darien Lake/Niagara and Santa's Village.

Would have loved more time, but I don't regret how we spent what we had.

Even though we were only at CW for ~5 hours tonight, we still did a LOT:

3x Leviathan (for me)
2x Wilde Beast, Minebuster
1x Snoopy, Boo Blasters, Drop Tower, AlpenFury, Windseeker, SkyHawk, Behemoth, Backlot, Yukon Striker, Conjuring

Not a bad haul!
acoasterstory.bsky.social
We never actually went over to this front-left corner of the park. Would have offered some nice AlpenFury views.

But we didn't want to do the SLC. And while it might have been nice to make jokes about the fate of Time Warp, we had other stuff to do.

Imagine that's where the next ride will go.
