I'm a physicist, a witch, and a gamer (not necessarily in that order).

I write blog posts on my hobbies. In 2025, that's mostly Baldur's Gate 3. I also post pictures of my cats, if they feel like it.

My opinions are based on too little research.

I just discovered my blog has an RSS feed: argothald.com/feed/

I know that RSS is no longer popular among the cool kids. Still, it's there if you'd like to use it.

Hello, I'm a loose-fitting sneaker on the side of an interstate highway.
Introduce yourself with what almost killed you: Hi, I'm far too long a list to fit in a skeet.

One of these is far more dangerous than it looks, and you should resist the urge to pet it no matter how cute it looks.

The other is a buffalo.

I am legally required to point out that Gamara is a kaiju space turtle who, for legal reasons, has never fought Godzilla.
No, that's Gamora. Gemara is a kind of fish cake.
Maybe he heard "Gemara" and got confused. Ganesha is a Hindu god; Gemara is the adopted daughter of Thanos.

There were some transition rough spots (1Password integration, I can't stand a color-shifting tab bar). But once those settled down, I'm satisfied with Vivaldi. Thanks!

Hmm... the sync function look similar in functionality to Firefox's, and it's available on Mac, Windows, and Linux.

I'll have to check if it's compatible with my password manager, but this looks intriguing.

The only thing that keeps from me from switching away from Firefox is bookmark sync. With Firefox, I can sync my bookmarks and menus between MacOS, Windows, and Linux.

I haven't seen any other browser that can do that... except for Chrome, and that's like jumping from a burning building into lava.

I echo Francesca's question. Are you referring to place you used to live?

Side note: The irony of Heinlein's Coventry was that society that the exiles formed was pretty much like US society at the time.

For my friend Sabrina, I prepared a collection of my writings on the Baldur's Gate 3 system. argothald.com/2025/12/15/m... #BG3. Given my background in D&D, it might have as relevant to Gygaxian systems as a sex manual written by a celibate priest. If you're an expert, you might have a good laugh.

By all means, report it. I suspect that it's not as innocent as it may appear.

In fact, among the living creatures in your home, it might be a plant!
Damn it. Repot. Repot.

I'm very much into ritual myself. Unfortunately, for both medical reasons and lack of local-area interest, I think that may be behind me now.
Question for y'all: Most of my witch/magician career has been working with groups, thus much of my knowledge is based in group ritual. So many now are solitary, are you interested in group work and ritual tips?. Ritual really is my thing.

That's it, I'm not one for concerts.

Do performances as part of pagan festivals count? How about filksinging?

Go out there and fight the Dragon! It’s Resistant to Fire, so it will take several hours of flame attack to get it down to low HP. But after that, it will be Vulnerable to Slashing damage. You’ll be able to take it out with your melee fighter dual-wielding daggers or longswords.
